Brisbane-based sports tech startup that’s changing the lives of young athletes globally by decreasing the rates of mental illness, burn out, injury and drop out, iNSPIRE Sport Online, is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Netball Queensland and the Queensland Firebirds as we become the Official Premier Partner for 2020.
Founded by Annie Flamsteed in 2016, iNSPIRE has excelled in the athlete wellbeing space by providing young athletes across the globe with educational content and a wellness tracking system. Working with organisations ranging from grassroots to elite teams, iNSPIRE has been designed to change the mindset of young athletes and provide them with the resources they need to grow into happy, healthy and mentally strong athletes.
With tens of thousands of young netballers playing across the state, Netball Queensland is the perfect partner to help build awareness of the tools available to help young athletes.
We will officially launch the new partnership at the Queensland Firebirds’ first home game on 10 May, with activities and fun planned to build awareness of youth wellbeing.
Netball Queensland’s Chief Executive Officer, Catherine Clark said the partnership was a perfect fit.
“Both Netball Queensland and the Queensland Firebirds are passionate about the power of sport to transform young lives” Catherine said. “With more than 50,000 registered players and an engaged community of more than 300,000 people, we’re so excited to help iNSPIRE spread such a crucial message around the importance of mental and physical empowerment.”
“The alignment between what we’re doing at iNSPIRE for young people, and what Netball Queensland endorses for young people, especially young women, was simply too strong to ignore. Both Catherine and myself share very similar views on how amazing sport can be in the shaping of young people, and just how important it is to provide opportunities to become and stay healthy.” iNSPIRE Sport Online Founder & CEO Annie Flamsteed said.
iNSPIRE is on a mission to decrease the rates of mental illness, burn out and drop out among young people in sport, and this partnership brings them one step closer to seeing wide-spread results. “We plan to positively impact the lives of all members of the Netball Queensland and Firebirds Community through this partnership by providing resources, opportunity, and of course our software via the app for athletes, and online platform for clubs and coaches to young Netballers state-wide.” Annie added.
People of the iNSPIRE and Netball Queensland community should expect to see improvements in community engagement and greater access to wellness education. iNSPIRE’s end goal is to grow participation rates and dramatically decrease illness, injuries, burn out, and mental illness in today’s youth sports community – starting with the Netball Queensland community.
Meanwhile, the iNSPIRE Sport app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store. Netballers can use the code ‘NETBALLQ’ to sign up for a 7-day free trial.
